Maternity Session Guide
What do I need to know?
This maternity session guide will take you through everything you need to know about your session

I can’t wait to welcome you into the studio
What To Expect
Your maternity session will last as long as we need to get those beautiful shots of you and your growing family, but generally we will be able to capture the magic in the first hour. You will be my only booking for that day so there is no urgency to get everything done in a particular time frame. Depending on where you are in your pregnancy, you might be starting to find it more difficult to move around, hopefully knowing that you have no time limit to the session will help reassuring you that you can take all the time you need.

If you are bringing other children to the session, I recomend bringing toys and snacks to keep them entertained for the portion where they aren’t needed for photographs
To make the most of the time we have together, I suggest having a few outfits that we can cycle through.
My Studio
Located on the edge of leighton Buzzard, my studio is based in my home, creating a warm and calming environment. With a parking spot directly in front of the front door, you’ll be able to walk straight through to the back of the house where I will have the studio set up and waiting. Take a seat on the sofa, where we will have time for me to make you a hot drink and you’ll have time to relax a moment before we get yourselves and baby ready for the session.
Studio address : 10 Sagan Rise, Leighton Buzzard, Lu73gh
During the session

What to wear
Before you arrive, think about what you’re going to wear to your session. Try not to wear anything though that may leave marks in your skin such as tight jeans and even socks! Ideally, we don’t want to see any marks from your clothing across your skin.
Generally I suggest to bring a couple sets of matching underwear, black and white sets work well they but can be any colour. I have a selection of coverups then we can then use to add some coverage to create a beautiful silhouette of you and bump. We can also use dresses to create the same effect if you would rather have more coverage.
Currently my maternity client wardrobe is limited so if you would like a particular style dress or gown feel free to message me to see if that’s something I can provide for your session.
In terms of colours, I recommend keeping the colours to warm tones. Creams, browns and beiges work well, but soft pinks, blues, and some black can work well too.
If you are bringing siblings, I recommend them to also wear natural, neutral colours to compliment your outfits.
After the session
My editing turn around is currently 2-3 weeks to make sure that I get everything perfect for you. Once they’re ready, You’ll receive an email link to a full onlin eviewing gallery where you can choose your 15 images as part of your session price, with an option to purchase further images.
You’ll be able to select the 15 images you want download by using the ‘favourite’ function. Let me know when you’ve chosen, and I’ll send them to you via email.
Via the gallery you’ll be able to upgrade your package, order prints, or share the gallery with friends and family.
